Job Title: CTS   Foreman (Cement Treated Subgrade)

Job Summary:

The Foreman coordinates activities concerned with the operation and maintenance of construction equipment and systems. Implements and ensures the implementation of construction procedures, specifications and work schedules. Supervises and coordinates activities of equipment operators engaged in construction projects for either/both public and private construction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of cement-treated subgrade stabilization, including cement delivery, mixing, and application to project specifications.
• Lead and direct finish grade crew to achieve final grade tolerances and ensure smooth transitions between stabilization and paving operations
• Monitor quality control, compaction testing, moisture levels, and equipment operation to ensure compliance with project plans, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Determine and recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures, as needed.
• Hiring and training of laborers and equipment operators.
• Confer with supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, schedules, and complaints.
• Coordinate activities concerned with the operation of construction equipment
• Ensure personnel follow all regulatory requirements and maintenance items are addressed by shop and field maintenance.
• Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
• Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes, DOT, OSHA, and MSHA, and other regulations.
• Drive and operate heavy construction equipment, as needed.
• Daily reporting of time, equipment, and material usage.
• Supervise on-site teams in accordance with defined schedules and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in subgrade stabilization, cement-treated base work, or heavy civil construction, including leadership of grading crews.
• Strong understanding of CTS processes, grading tolerances, moisture conditioning, and compaction requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, project specifications, and survey stakes; skilled in coordinating with survey, testing, and paving teams.
