Job Description

Overview:

Bell/Door Person
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Bell/Door Person to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Bell/Door Person will be responsible for assisting guests with their cars, luggage and deliveries during arrival, departure, and their stay at the property.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome all guests. Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Ensure knowledge of all hotel daily events and always escort guests to events or outlets on property
  • Load and unload luggage carts
  • Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services and amenities (hours of outlets, pool, exercise room etc.). Inspect guest’s room to ensure it is in order and that supplies are adequate
  • Explain features of the room including operation of television, telephone, in-room movie system, etc
  • Check/store luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags
  • Deliver messages to meeting rooms. Deliver flowers, laundry, and packages to guestrooms. Assist with room changes
  • Maintain current listing of local and area attractions, special events and activities
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Physical demands: – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
